How trust works on Patidar Vepar

Last updated 02-10-2026

Before you call or message a business, look at three things: its badge, its referrals and its reviews. This page explains what each one means and how we order search results. Nothing is hidden — paid plans included.

Verification badges

The badge shows how much our team has checked. There are four levels. A business shows the highest one it has earned.

  1. 0Not verified yet

The business is on the directory. Nothing has been checked yet.

    Every new listing starts here.

  2. 1Phone verified

The business phone number is confirmed.

Straight away, when the owner taps Verify and the listing's number is the one they signed in with. If the listing uses another number, our team checks it.

  3. 2Shop verified

A person on our team has seen a photo showing the business is real.

Any one of: Shop board · Shop or premises · Visiting card · Letterhead · Name on vehicle · Photo of goods or work · Bill book — or another business document. Home-based businesses can get this too.

  4. 3Documents verified

A person on our team has seen a business document.

One of: GST certificate · Udyam registration · Shop & Establishment licence · FSSAI licence · Drug licence.

  • Verification is free. No plan or payment can buy a badge.
  • No outside group — no mandal or samaj — is involved. Our own team does every check.
  • A badge can go down. If proof turns out to be wrong, we remove it.
A badge is not a promise. It shows what we checked, on the day we checked it. It does not cover quality, price, delivery or payment. Always read our safety tips before you pay. Safety tips ›

Referrals

A referral is a written recommendation from someone who has contacted the business, or another owner the business asked. It is public and shows the writer's name. It may say how they know the business: Bought from them · Sold to them · Worked with them · Known them a long time.

Who can write one

Anyone signed in who has sent the business a message, tapped to see its number, or been asked by the business to write one. They do not need to own a business.

Referral rules

  • One referral per person for each business.
  • You cannot write one for your own business.
  • It goes live straight away. The business cannot delete it. Anyone signed in can report it, and our team can hide it.
  • A business owner may ask other business owners on Patidar Vepar for a referral — once per person, up to 5 a day. These count half.

How much each one counts

  • Written without being asked: Full.
  • Written after the business asked: Half.
  • Two businesses that referred each other: a quarter each.
  • If the writer has no business of their own that is at least Phone verified, it counts half of that — never less than a quarter.

The number on a listing counts every referral. Search uses the values above, and stops adding after 10 full referrals. “vouched for 5” means the owner has written 5 referrals for other businesses.

Reviews

A review is a 1 to 5 star rating, with optional words, from someone who has contacted the business. A review does not prove a purchase. Read the words, not just the stars.

  • One per person per business — writing again changes your old review.
  • Not for your own business.
  • Goes live straight away; we do not check it first.
  • Only the writer can change or delete it — the business cannot. Anyone signed in can report a review; our team can hide it.
  • A business can ask people who have messaged it or opened its number for a review — once per person, up to 10 a day.
  • Stars count in search only after 3 or more reviews.
  • Do not pay or offer gifts for a review or referral.

Fast replies

A business gets this badge when it replies to at least 6 in 10 buyers who message it and usually replies within 2 hours. We show it only after 5 or more buyers have messaged it. Recent replies count more than old ones.

Reply speed also counts a little in search after 3 buyers have messaged it; replies slower than 8 hours earn nothing.

How search results are ordered

1. Right category and right place come first

We sort results into groups. A business in a higher group is always shown above one in a lower group. No badge, review or payment can change this.

  • In this city: the category you asked for, in your city
  • In nearby cities: that category, in a nearby city
  • Elsewhere in Gujarat
  • In a related category: the wider category, in your city — for example Ceramics & Tiles in Morbi when you asked for Floor tiles in Morbi
  • Matching by name: your words match its name, description, area, search keywords or products
  • You may have meant these: close spellings

One exception: if you type a business's name, that business comes first.

2. Inside each group, these move a business up

Ordered by badge, referrals, star rating, reply speed and how complete the profile is. A paid plan can add a push, but never more than the business earned from its badge and referrals.

How well your words match decides which group a business is in. Inside a group, only the things above decide the order. Ties are settled the same way every time, never at random.

Who can list a business

Listings are for Patidar-owned businesses. When adding a business, the owner confirms: “I confirm that this business is owned by a member of the Patidar community.”

  • In a partnership, the partner who adds it confirms they are Patidar; other partners can be from any community.
  • We do not ask for proof of caste and we do not store anyone's community.
  • If you know a listing is not Patidar-owned, report it and choose “Not a Patidar-owned business”.
  • Buyers can be anyone — there is no requirement to search or make contact.
